Now that we all have been spending a lot more time at home, it's forced me to really take a look at the things I love and don't love about my home. There are so many areas I have neglected and not updated because we are always on the go. However, I am thoroughly enjoyed spending this time at home and picking a different place to update over time.
I have been on this journey to create a comfortable yet chic home office. I have added pieces over time and I really feel like it's finally coming together. My latest accomplishment is this cozy corner in my office.
I created this corner as a way for me to take a break and change scenery from sitting at my desk all day in the office. It also has become a spot where I can retreat to have a glass of wine, play a word game on my phone or just disconnect and read a book. Let me tell you how I created this cozy corner for a few hundred dollars!

First, let's start with the chair - this accent chair caught my eye automatically. Not only do I love the color, I was completely sold on the gold finished legs and the tufted details along the back of the chair.
It is comfortable and apparently, has an ergonomic design! Ha! that wasn't a selling point for me but definitely an added bonus!

Now, let's talk accessories! I am big into textures and I wanted to bring in some elements that would complement the design of the chair but also bring in a different texture to the space.
I selected an inexpensive white merino style fur throw pillow cover and replaced the prior one I was using. The white created a complimentary contrast to the chair and the gray wall in the background and of course, added some texture!
Then I grabbed this side table (which comes in a set of two) and placed one in the corner with a few additional knick knacks I had around my office to personalize the space. The end table was a nice way to continue with the gold theme, and bring out the modern touch I wanted in this space. The geometric cut outs in the design definitely draw your eye to it which creates a lot more interest in the space.
Plants bring life! Now, I know... this one isn't real, but I think it still has the same effect! I loved the addition of this potted fiddle leaf tree, I think it makes the space feel more cozy and home-y.
I love this new cozy corner! There are still a few other elements that I would love to add but I am enjoying it for now!
